About the Area
With our Design Center centrally located in the town of Manistique, our build territory covers approximately 3,928 square miles in the northern area of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Our territory extends from Tahquamenon Falls State Park to Epoufette to Gould City, Manistique, Garden, Nahma, Gladstone, Grand Marais, Pine Stump Junction, and everything in between.

Manistique is the only incorporated community in Schoolcraft County. The Mackinac Bridge, about 90 miles east of Manistique, is currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world. In 2002, Newberry was designated the Moose Capital of Michigan by the state legislature. |

Our area has mild summers with lake breezes, beautiful fall colors, moderate snow in the winter, and welcoming spring with everything fresh and green. In the Manistique area, the average temperature in the winter months tends to be in the low 20's and mid 70's in the summer months. In the Manistuque area, the average annual rainfall amounts to about 28 inches and the average annual snowfall amounts to about 50 inches. |
