• McCarthy Beach State Park has 18 miles of hiking trails, 17 miles of mountain bike trails, 12 miles of snowmobile trails.
• Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area in Gilbert has 36 miles of trails to ride.
• Lake Vermilion located in the north east corner  of St. Louis County.
• Superior National Forest located in the eastern half of St. Louis County.
• Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is located in the northern third of the Superior National Forest in northeastern Minnesota.

The city of Eveleth and the surrounding communities offer a variety of entertainment opportunities.

• From specialty and antiques stores to modern shopping malls, our area has it all.
• There are many dining options in our area that offer a variety of cuisines and diverse atmospheres.
• Many museums and theaters can be found in our territory such as the Minnesota Discovery Center in Hibbing. 
• The Mesabi Trail, located in northern Minnesota between Ely and Grand Rapids, is a bike trail inding throughout some of the state's prettiest regions.  In the spring of 2011, the new State Head of the Trails Building will be located in Eveleth marking the start of the Mesabi Trail.
• The Giants Ridge golf Resort features two of the best golf courses in Minnesota, The Legend and The Quarry.

Interesting Facts:

Eveleth is home of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum.

At the edge of the town of Hibbing sits the largest open-pit iron mine in the world.

Eveleth is home to the world's largest hockey stick.

At one time Virginia had both the largest White Pine Mill in the world and biggest ore producing mine - Mesaba Mountain.

Our area has very nice summers with temperatures being in the 70's and cold winters with temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees.

The annual average rainfall for our area is around 26 inches and 61 inches as the average annual snowfall.
