With our Design Center centrally located in the town of Ironwood, Woodtech Builder's build territory covers approximately 3,888 square miles in the western corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin. Our territory extends from Porcupine Mountain State Park to Beaton to Fisherman's Landing, Ashland, Iron River, Bayfield and everything in between.

The western Upper Peninsula is a great place for picking berries such as Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Thimbleberries, Strawberries, and many more.
Over a million acres of public land is open to berry picking in the nearby Gogebic County Forest and Ottawa National Forest.
A variety of museums can be found in Ironwood, Wakefield, Hurley, Bessemer, and Ashland.
There are many different outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy such as horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, skiing, biking, and sightseeing.
Ashland has a variety of unique shops, galleries, and specialty stores.
Ashland also has a unique mix of fine dining, cafes, fast food, and a brewery.
There is a variety of great restaurants in our area such as the Tacconelli Towne House, The Bell Chalet, Angelo's Pizza, Maplewood Steakhouse, and Mikes Restaurant.

Interesting Facts:

Ironwood is home to the "World's Tallest Indian" - A 52' tall fiberglass statue of tribal leader, Hiawatha.
While originally an iron mining town, Ironwood is now known for its downhill skiing resorts including Big Powderhorn, Blackjack, Indianhead, Mount Zion, and Whitecap. There are also cross country skiing trails through the Wolverine Nordic Trail System.
There was 330 million tons of iron taken from just Gogebic County.
In 1920/1921 Ironwood's population alone was 19,000 people. Today, that is the approximate population of Gogebic County.
The highest recorded temperature was 104 degrees in 1936 and the lowest was -41 degrees in 1982.
