Wausau, Wis. (Aug. 22, 2007) – Editors from prominent building trade publications toured Wausau Homes during a three-day media tour, held August 22 - 24, 2007. Ten editors participated in the tour, including representatives from Builder, Building Products, Custom Home, Fine Homebuilding, Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest Media, and Log Homes Network publications.
The editors visited Wausau Homes’ facilities in Rothschild, Wis., and were able to see the company’s building system and capabilities in action by observing the actual components of a custom home being erected on a residential site in Marshfield.
In addition to Wausau Homes, six other manufacturers from Wausau, Mosinee, Medford and Portage provided tours, including Weather Shield Windows & Doors, Peachtree Doors & Windows, Sunburst Shutters, Wausau Tile, Featherstone Cabinetry and Design, and Cardinal Glass.
“The event was a wonderful opportunity for some of Central Wisconsin’s leading manufacturers to showcase and promote their products,” said Sally Gartmann, communications coordinator for Wausau Homes. “The editors learned how each manufacturer integrates innovative technologies with state-of-the-art engineering and production capabilities. They gained a wealth of information to share with their readers.”
