Summary: Work with builders to define use, application and quantities of external and internal completion materials.
Tasks include:
Accurately establish the builder’s expectations with through questioning about the building, the installer, tolerance for defects
Accurately identify with builders quantities of exterior and interior completion materials.
Accurately identify correct product to meet project needs such as trim, cabinets, door panels, counter tops and other exterior and interior product material.
Providing service materials (shortage, vendor warranty) to customers.
Providing follow up after the material was delivered (1 week).
Determine special order material and initiates getting them loaded in SAP.
Assists with creating a complete Bill of Material on a per-house basis for orders.
Providing accurate pricing of materials to be provided matched against the materials in the quote.
Working with Builders on Material Order sales.
Following up on quality concerns to provide resolution.
Providing requirements in SAP.
Facilitating packing list for shipping in SAP.
Expediting shortage materials for delivery.
Providing material expertise for the organization.
Defining the Material offering (products).
Up selling builder to better product lines.
Qualifications: To perform the job successfully the person needs to have strong working knowledge of exterior completion materials to include, but not limited to siding, exterior trim, soffit, fascia, etc. (Need to have an understanding of SAP for creating, OR’s, ZSD, ZRM, ZRE). Skill set needs to include ability to understand and perform material configurations, construction practices, engineering concepts, production concepts, warehouse management, builder operation, trouble shooting, and business acumen.
Education and or Experience:
Associates or Bachelors degree in related area.
Five years of residential design and/or construction related background
Strong written and oral communications.
Ability to thrive in a multi-task, flexible environment.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successful, an individual should have the knowledge and or ability to learn quickly the following packages:
Vertex (structural component)
Mitek (truss design)
General SAP
MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
