About Our Design Studio
Part of a dedicated family of builders, Greg Schoone has been building custom homes for 28 years. An expert at the homebuilding process, Greg and his team specialize in the vacation market and are ready to help make every homebuyer’s experience an enjoyable one from start to finish.
Wausau Homes Minocqua is always concerned with taking care of you even after your home is built. Service is why we get so many word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied customers. People are amazed that our great building process exceeds expectations, and are shocked at how soon they can move into their new house.
Each Wausau Homes Builder is an independent local business, so you can have the confidence and ease of dealing with a local builder. Plus, each Wausau Homes Builder has access to all of the Wausau Homes design tools and Wausau Homes components.
About The Area We Serve
The Wausau Homes Design Studio is located in Minocqua. We build homes across a large territory including Hazelhurst, Lake Tomahawk, Minocqua, Woodruff, Arbor Vitae, Lac Du Flambeau, Sayner, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters and Presque Isle.
With thousands of acres of natural lakes, pine and hardwood forests throughout the area, Minocqua is the classic resort town. A beautiful place to live and an unforgettable place to vacation, Minocqua features supper clubs, shopping, cafes, ice-cream stands, outfitters, the famous Fred Scheers Lumberjack Shows and the oldest amateur ski show in the United States. The history buff can visit the Dr. Kate Newcomb museum to see the world’s largest penny, celebrate Ojibwe culture at the George W. Brown Jr. Ojibwe Museum or spend a day at the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and Museum.
With over 100 boat launches, 18 family campgrounds and 9 swimming beaches, the outdoor enthusiast will be entertained on water by speedboat or by catching that trophy fish on one of 2,400 lakes in the area. Capture the splendor of the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest with its 225,000 acres, the largest in the state.
