About Our Studio
Wausau Homes builder Cyrus Garrison has built custom homes for hundreds of homebuyers in Missouri over the past two decades. Cyrus has worked in construction since 1990 building single family homes, duplexes, assisted living homes, as well as large and small scale commercial properties. His attention to detail keeps his homebuilding projects on a firm timeline ensuring no surprises for homeowners. Wausua Homes Moberly believes a strong partnership between homeowner and homebuilder guarantees all the customer’s desires are met and the home is customized in all the right way to meet your needs.
Cyrus lives in rural Jacksonville, Missouri with his wife and children. He grew up in this area learning new home construction from his father at an early age and then completing vocational training in building trades at a young age. Cyrus served in the United States Army as a young man and returned to Missouri to begin creating a home for himself, contributing to community through participation in his church. He makes every homebuyer the number one priority throughout their homebuilding experience. As an honest and trusting man, Cyrus wants you to know, “You will not have to worry about my reputation, morals, or quality of work. I intend to give you your dreams during your building experience.”
About The Area We Serve
With our Design Studio centrally located in the town of Moberly, our build territory covers approximately 2352 square miles in central and northern parts of Missouri. We build homes in Shelby, Randolph, Monroe, Audrain, Macon, Chariton, Howard, and Boone Counties. Our territory extends from Kirksville to Trenton to Marshall, Columbia, Hannibal and everything in between. It's not surprise that we have built many of the Moberly homes you see today!
Moberly, the “Magic City” has its roots in the railroad industry, with the Norfolk Southern Railway still serving Moberly today. Once the northern end of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad that ran between Moberly and Boonville, early visitors arrived by train to shop in Historic Downtown Moberly, which has been a shopping tradition for many generations. A World War II Five-Star Army General’s name honors the General Omar Bradley high school baseball field.
The jewel of Moberly Parks and Recreation, Rothwell Park has 447 acres, including a beautiful 50-acre lake. The park is home to a miniature railroad built to honor Moberly's railroading history. Outdoors enthusiasts can hike a majestic walking trail, play a round of disc golf, or paddleboat on Rothwell Lake. Nearby, visit one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state of Missouri.
