About Our Design Studio
Owner Richard Gagne has been working in construction for as long as he can remember. He often accompanied his father on construction projects, but formally began working with him at the age of 13. After high school, he enrolled in construction school, by 20 he had his carpentry license, and by 22 his contractor license. He relocated during an economic downturn in the 1980’s which was a blessing in disguise as he met his wife of 35 years. Together they eventually came back to Minnesota and have grown their construction business in the land of 10,000 lakes for the last twenty years.
Each Wausau Homes Builder is an independent local business, so you can have the confidence and ease of dealing with a local builder. Plus, each Wausau Homes Builder has access to all of the Wausau Homes design tools and Wausau Homes components.

What to Look for When Buying a new Vacant Lot
Stillwater is a city in Washington County, Minnesota, directly across from the St. Croix River in Wisconsin. Stillwater is often considered the birthplace of Minnesota because in 1848 the first convention that began the process of establishing Minnesota as a State was held on the corner of Myrtle and Main Street in downtown Stillwater.
Today, Stillwater’s rich and vibrant history is evident everywhere you look and is now mixed with modern amenities, restored mansions, historic sites, wineries and breweries, museums, art galleries and much more. Stillwater is a historic, river-town that can be enjoyed year-round. And just minutes away from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Mall of America, Wisconsin border, or the MSP Airport there is sure to be something for everyone!
